\n\t\t\t\tThe ICT Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for the stability, security, and performance of the organization’s core ICT infrastructure. This includes managing servers, networking equipment, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud services across Sites. The role ensures reliable connectivity, supports enterprise systems, and enforces cybersecurity best practices. Reporting to the ICT Officer, the specialist will also contribute to system upgrades, documentation, and long-term infrastructure planning to support business continuity and growth.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\t1.\tServer Infrastructure Management\uf0a7\tAdminister Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file and print services.\uf0a7\tManage virtual infrastructure (Hyper-V and VMware), ensuring high availability, backups, and resource optimisation.\uf0a7\tPerform system updates, patching, and server health monitoring using tools like Zabbix or PRTG.2.\tNetwork Administration\uf0a7\tMaintain LAN\/WAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure across Sites.\uf0a7\tTroubleshoot routing, switching, and access point issues.\uf0a7\tImplement and enforce network segmentation and access control policies.3.\tFirewall, VPN & Security Management\uf0a7\tConfigure and manage firewalls, including NAT, web filtering, and application control policies.\uf0a7\tSet up and maintain VPN tunnels for secure inter-branch communication.\uf0a7\tEnforce network security policies, intrusion prevention, and log monitoring.4.\tEnterprise Platform Support\uf0a7\tProvide support for integrated platforms.\uf0a7\tCollaborate with third-party vendors on system integration, upgrades, and performance tuning.\uf0a7\tOversee the setup and connectivity of services hosted on local and cloud-based virtual machines.5.\tDisaster Recovery & Backup\uf0a7\tDesign and maintain backup strategies using on-prem and cloud solutions.\uf0a7\tConduct periodic DR simulations to test failover and recovery procedures.\uf0a7\tEnsure business continuity for critical systems through redundancy and preventive maintenance.6.\tDocumentation & Compliance\uf0a7\tMaintain detailed documentation of network diagrams, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.\uf0a7\tEnsure all infrastructure is compliant with internal ICT policies and security frameworks.\uf0a7\tSupport internal ICT audits and contribute to policy development.7.\tProject Implementation & Continuous Improvement\uf0a7\tLead and support infrastructure expansion, optimization, and automation projects.\uf0a7\tConduct research on emerging technologies to propose cost-effective infrastructure improvements.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\t\uf0a7\tBachelor\u2019s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.\uf0a7\t3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in enterprise infrastructure and systems administration.\uf0a7\tStrong hands-on knowledge of SAP, Windows Server, Firewalls, VPN technologies, and virtualization.\uf0a7\tCertifications such as Microsoft MCSA\/MCSE, Cisco CCNA\/CCNP, or Sophos Certified Engineer are highly desirable.<\/p>\n
