{"id":2507,"date":"2025-06-22T18:00:52","date_gmt":"2025-06-22T18:00:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zimbabwe\/job\/monitoring-and-evaluation-officer-x-1\/"},"modified":"2025-06-22T18:00:56","modified_gmt":"2025-06-22T18:00:56","slug":"monitoring-and-evaluation-officer-x-1","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zimbabwe\/?post_type=job_listing&p=2507","title":{"rendered":"Monitoring and Evaluation Officer x 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Description<br \/>\n\t\t\t\tContract: Fixed Term Contract The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer shall be responsible for efficient and effective monitoring, evaluation of all project activities in the 3 countries\u2019 20 selected districts in compliance with the donor award regulations and in line with LCDZ policies and procedures.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\u2022 Responsible for establishing a reliable and consistent set of Outcome Indicators for all project activities as well as developing an organization-wide core set of indicators.\u2022 Regularly review and improve the M&amp;E system by seeking stakeholder inputs and through consultations with partner organizations.\u2022 Develop a standardized community baseline socio-economic template for project.\u2022 Develop systematic protocols such as Most Significant Change qualitative story methodology.\u2022 Develop, in coordination with the Finance Department, a system to ensure that the project planning including inputs and targets, is aligned with the overall programme log-frames and other types of M&amp;E indicators.\u2022 Training, guiding, mentoring and support Project Officers in the use of the M&amp;E frameworks and tools.\u2022 Synthesize and analyze data for summary and thematic reports on M&amp;E findings.\u2022 Support the design and implementation of baseline\/midline\/and other surveys according to the approved work plans. Support the Project Officers in the revision of work plans and strategies In collaboration with the Programmes Coordinator.\u2022 Develop, refine and manage the process for regular reporting on findings and coordinate with appropriate project personnel and consortium partners for the dissemination of information.\u2022 Manage day-to-day operations of the M&amp;E system, including support of field officers in continued implementation of M&amp;E tools and instruments.\u2022 Provide technical assistance and data for the M&amp;E component of grant proposal development and modification\u2022 Foster and coordinate partnerships for independent, external assessments to attain good quality, third-party evaluation studies.\u2022 Create and maintain online and hardcopy M&amp;E procedure manuals for field staff.\u2022 Coordinate, develop and facilitate training materials and presentations for capacity building of M&amp;E staff in other partner organisations.\u2022 Keep abreast of the latest developments in M&amp;E and network with other organizations for best practices and technical assistance.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\u25aa Bachelor\u2019s degree in social sciences, development studies, economics or relevant field preferred.\u25aa Prior experience with performance monitoring and evaluation for development programs, including developing performance indicators, data collection and analysis.\u25aa Skills and preferably experience with numerical methods and database management.\u25aa Strong analytical skills.\u25aa Excellent Oral and written communication skills.\u25aa Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.\u25aa Knowledge in the use of SPSS software, Microsoft Excel highly preferred.\u25aa Minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience within the disability sector or community development\u25aa Proven experience in project management and strong demonstratable skills in project design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.\u25aa Must be a team player who can work collaboratively internally with other departments and externally with other stakeholders\u25aa Ability to work under minimum supervision and to perform multi-tasks\u25aa Strong capacity to organize workload and meeting deadlines\u25aa Clean Class 4 Driver\u2019s license with at least 3 years driving experience.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tHow to Apply<br \/>\n\t\t\t\tTo apply, please send your documents in PDF that includes your cover letter describing your interest, qualifications, contactable references, and your CV to Leonard Cheshire Disability Zimbabwe Human Resources at accounts@leonardcheshire.org.zw by end of day, Thursday 12th June 2025.
