Job Description
\n\t\t\t\tThe incumbent cadre will be responsible for assisting in the Pharmacy with the preparation and distribution of pharmaceuticals, inventory management, and documentation within the pharmacy. The incumbent will also be responsible for promptly deal with queries from patients and caregivers, deal with all face-to-face queries, ensuring a smooth prescription service and issuing prepared prescriptions.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\tThe successful candidate will be responsible for the following among other duties:\u2022 Assists in the dispensing of medicines to clients and ensure the right medication is given to the right client in right quantities.\u2022 Clean surfaces (Damp Dusting) where medicines are stored to ensure compliance with PSZ Infection PreventionControl Policies and local legislation\u2022 Assist in the proper storage and stacking of medicines according to the First Expired, First Out (FEFO) principle\u2022 Participate in stock take as per PSZ Calendar\u2022 Counting out tablets when filling prescriptions\u2022 Coordinate over the counter (OTC) sales and assist customers with product lines\u2022 Operate till accurately and handle money in a safe and secure manner in line with PSZ Finance Policy\u2022 Reconcile daily cash transactions in conjunction with the Pharm tech\/Pharmacist for safe keeping\u2022 Follow standard operating procedures and maintain a clean and organised dispensary area\u2022 Maintain client\/patient confidentiality and privacy at all times\u2022 Assist in Pharmacy related tasks as assigned<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\t5 \u201dO\u201d Levels, Math and English included\u2022 Certificate in Dispensary Assistant or a related field\u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role\u2022 Certificate in Dispensary Assistance, knowledge in Medical Drugs and New Health 263 system package is an added advantage\u2022 Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, medicine classes, and dosage forms\u2022 Familiarity with stock control and inventory management and Familiarity with prescription and over-the-counter medications.\u2022 Good organizational and multitasking skills.\u2022 Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation.\u2022 Strong communication and customer service skills.\u2022 Ability to work effectively in a team.\u2022 Understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and ethical standards<\/p>\n
