\n\t\t\t\tCOTTCO is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Internal Auditor to assess and improve its internal controls, processes, and risk management. The role involves ensuring that risks inherent to Cottco\u2019s business are identified, monitored, and adequately mitigated, enabling the company to maintain a low exposure to risk. This position reports to the Senior Internal Auditor.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\t\u2022\tVerifies the company\u2019s compliance with internal policies and procedures\u2022\tExamines documentation, including reports, statements, records, and memos to gather audit evidence.\u2022\tReperforms reconciliations for key accounts, including inventory or assets to ascertain accuracy.\u2022\tDesigns risk-based audit programs to verify that risks are being adequately identified and managed.\u2022\tParticipates in meetings with individuals and departments to update them on audit findings and the audit process.\u2022\tPrepares reports and preserves documentation pertaining to audits for internal records.\u2022\tIdentifies loopholes and recommends risk aversion measures and cost savings\u2022\tMaintains open communication with management.\u2022\tAssesses best financial practices for the organisation and makes relevant, informed suggestions.\u2022\tEvaluates the adequacy of process design and the effectiveness of controls in meeting business and control objectives. Identifies document control and process weaknesses, providing evidential support for the findings<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\t\u2022\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting\/Finance, or a relevant professional auditing\/accounting qualification. \u2022\tA minimum of 3 years relevant experience in an audit environment.<\/p>\n
