This initiative aims to strengthen governance, strategic oversight, and ethical leadership aligned with ARC\u2019s mission and national\/international best practices.Objective of the ConsultancyTo facilitate a structured, interactive orientation and capacity building programme for ARC\u2019s Board of Directors and leadership team that enhances:\u2022\tUnderstanding of governance roles and fiduciary responsibilities\u2022\tKnowledge of organizational policies, legal frameworks, and compliance requirements\u2022\tCapacity for strategic planning, decision-making, and ethical leadership\u2022\tAwareness of gender-sensitive, survivor-centred, and trauma-informed governance approaches<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities<br \/>\n\t\t\t\tThe consultant will be expected to:\u2022\tConduct a brief needs assessment with ARC leadership and Board.\u2022\tDesign a tailored training programme and orientation toolkit.\u2022\tDeliver a minimum 2-day in-person training workshop in Harare (dates to be confirmed).\u2022\tCover thematic areas including:o\tNGO Governance &amp; Fiduciary Dutieso\tStrategic Oversight &amp; Risk Managemento\tSexual and Gender-Based Violence Contexts in Zimbabweo\tEthics, Accountability, and Safeguardingo\tLeadership for Social Justice &amp; Organisational Sustainability\u2022\tProvide post-training support materials and evaluation report.Expected Deliverables\u2022\tInception report and training plan.\u2022\tCustomized orientation toolkit and training materials.\u2022\tDelivery of interactive training sessions (including case studies &amp; practical exercises).\u2022\tPost-training report with recommendations and participant evaluations.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience<br \/>\n\t\t\t\tApplicants must demonstrate:\u2022\tProven experience conducting Board training or executive leadership development in NGOs.\u2022\tDeep understanding of non-profit governance, leadership ethics, and gender-sensitive programming.\u2022\tKnowledge of Zimbabwean civil society legal and policy environment.\u2022\tExcellent facilitation and communication skills.\u2022\tAt least three contactable references from similar assignments.Application RequirementsInterested consultants should submit:\u2022\tTechnical proposal (max 5 pages) outlining methodology, content areas, and facilitation approach.\u2022\tFinancial proposal in USD (inclusive of professional fees, materials, and logistics).\u2022\tProfile or CV(s) of lead trainer(s)\/facilitators.\u2022\tSamples of relevant past work (e.g. workshop outlines, training reports).\u2022\tThree references from previous clients.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tHow to Apply<br \/>\n\t\t\t\tDeadline for submission: 30 June 2025, 17:00 Central Africa Time (CAT)Email applications to:  arcrecruitment2009@gmail.comSubject line: Consultancy \u2013 Board Orientation &amp; Leadership TrainingOnly shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
