\n\t\t\t\tThe Adult Rape Clinic (ARC), a specialist centre offering comprehensive medico-legal, psychosocial, and community-based services for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in Zimbabwe, is seeking a qualified individual consultant or firm to review, update, and harmonize its institutional policies to ensure alignment with current legal, donor, and operational standards.Objective of the ConsultancyTo conduct a comprehensive policy audit and revision process that ensures ARC\u2019s organizational policies are up-to-date, legally compliant, gender-sensitive, and reflective of best practices in governance, safeguarding, finance, human resources, and program delivery.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\tThe selected consultant will:\u2022\tConduct a gap analysis of existing policies and identify areas for alignment with national laws, donor requirements, and international standards.\u2022\tReview, update, and\/or draft policies including but not limited to:o\tHuman Resources Policyo\tFinance and Administration Policyo\tChild Safeguarding and Protection Policyo\tCode of Conduct & Ethicso\tSexual Harassment and Whistleblower Policyo\tData Protection & Confidentiality Policyo\tICT and Communications Policy\u2022\tFacilitate stakeholder consultations (including staff and Board members).\u2022\tEnsure all policies are harmonized and presented in accessible language.\u2022\tProvide finalized, formatted policy documents ready for Board approval.Expected Deliverables\u2022\tInception report and work plan.\u2022\tAnnotated analysis of existing policies.\u2022\tDraft revised policies for review and feedback.\u2022\tFinal policy documents (Word & PDF) with implementation guidance.\u2022\tBrief orientation session for ARC leadership and staff on key policy updates.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\tApplicants must demonstrate:\u2022\tProven expertise in organizational policy development and legal compliance for NGOs.\u2022\tKnowledge of Zimbabwean legal frameworks, donor requirements, and safeguarding standards.\u2022\tStrong understanding of gender equity, trauma-informed approaches, and survivor-centred principles.\u2022\tAbility to work consultatively and deliver high-quality outputs within tight timelines.\u2022\tAt least three traceable references from similar assignments.Application RequirementsInterested consultants must submit:\u2022\tTechnical proposal (max 6 pages) outlining approach, tools\/methods, and timeline.\u2022\tFinancial proposal in USD, inclusive of VAT and all costs.\u2022\tConsultant(s)\u2019 CV or organizational profile.\u2022\tSample(s) of previous relevant work.\u2022\tThree contactable references.<\/p>\n
