\n\t\t\t\tWindmill (Pvt.) Ltd is a leading manufacturer of fertilizers, stock feeds and agro-chemical products and is a household name throughout Zimbabwe. The position of Financial\/Cost Accountant has arisen.Responsible for the Financial & Cost Accounting functions within the Finance Department and Reporting to the Finance Manager, the key performance areas of this position will include:<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\t\u2022 Cost Analysis: determining the actual cost of manufactured products, analyzing profitability and identifying areas for cost reduction.\u2022 Financial Reporting: preparing annual financial statements, monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.\u2022 Budget Management: developing and managing budgets, forecasting financial performance, and monitoring expenses to ensure they align with the budget.\u2022 Cost Control: implementing and monitoring cost-control measures, identifying areas where costs can be reduced.\u2022 Inventory Management: tracking and managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate valuation, and controlling inventory costs. This includes ensuring adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.\u2022 Decision Support: providing financial analysis and insights to support informed decision-making, including pricing, product development, and operational efficiencies.\u2022 Tax Reporting: preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly tax returns as required by ZIMRA.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\tThe ideal candidate should possess the following attributes:A first degree in accounting from a reputable tertiary institute,\u2022 Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA,\u2022 Completion of Articles of Clerkship will be an added advantage,\u2022 Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment,\u2022 Retail experience will be an added advantage,\u2022 Working Knowledge of IFRS and International Accounting Standards (IAS) a must, including financial reporting in hyperinflationary economies,\u2022 Good working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAGEGood technical ability in cost and management accounting,\u2022 Strong people management and communication skills at all levels.<\/p>\n
