Job Description
\n\t\t\t\tMining Chemical Engineer to join our team and support mineral processing operations through the design, optimization, and implementation of chemical processes.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\tDevelop and optimize chemical processes for mineral extraction, concentration, and refining (e.g., flotation, leaching, solvent extraction).\u2022 Evaluate and recommend reagents, dosages, and treatment conditions to enhance process efficiency and reduce environmental impact.\u2022 Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale tests to simulate process conditions and validate new chemical solutions.\u2022 Monitor plant operations and provide technical support for process troubleshooting and performance improvement.\u2022 Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations regarding the handling and disposal of chemicals.\u2022 Collaborate with metallurgists, geologists, process engineers, and environmental specialists to improve overall mining efficiency.\u2022 Generate detailed technical reports, SOPs, and process documentation.\u2022 Stay current with advances in mining chemistry, green processing technologies, and regulatory trends.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field (\u2022 Minimum of 3\u20135 years of experience in a chemical or mineral processing role within the mining industry.\u2022 Familiarity with chemical handling protocols and safety standards in mining environments.\u2022 Proficient in data analysis and simulation tools (e.g., HSC Chemistry, METSIM, Excel).\u2022 Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills<\/p>\n
