\n\t\t\t\tAn exciting opportunity for an INTERNAL AUDIT MANAGER has arisen within our Internal Audit Department. The incumbent is expected to manage the Microbank\u2019s internal audit function, including developing and implementing internal audit policies and procedures, and verifies adequacy and implementation of internal controls and provides recommendations for improvement through audit reports.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\t1.1\tDevelops the Internal Audit Policies\u2022\tDevelops and reviews Internal Audit Charter annually and gets it approved by the Board Audit Committee\u2022\tDevelops and reviews the Internal Audit Policy and Procedure Manual annually and gets it approved by the Board Audit Committee1.2\tDevelops a Risk-based Annual Internal Audit Plan\u2022\tConducts an institutional risk assessment through reviewing risk matrix reports, prior audit reports and departments policies and procedures\u2022\tDevelops a Risk-based Internal Audit Plan and submits to the Board Audit Committee for approval1.3\tDirects Performance of operational, ICT, compliance and financial audits as per the approved annual audit plan\u2022\tReviews policies and procedures and carries out audit risk assessment prior to audit planning\u2022\tConducts audit entrance meetings with auditees to discuss audit plans \u2022\tAssists Internal Auditors with development and reviewing of audit plans and audit work programs\u2022\tCommunicates with auditees during the audit process the required audit documents\u2022\tSupervises audits conducted by Internal Auditors by reviewing their audit work papers and audit evidence\u2022\tReviews draft audit reports prepared by Internal Auditors and shares with auditees for their comments\u2022\tConducts audit exit meetings with auditees to discuss the audit findings and auditors\u2019 recommendations as well as agreed action plans\u2022\tConsolidates the final audit reports and circulates to Senior Management\u2022\tMeets with Senior Management to discuss audit findings on concluded audits\u2022\tCirculates final audit reports to the Board Audit Committee and the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe\u2022\tPresents to the Board Audit Committee quarterly on the audit findings1.4\tDirect Performance of fraud audits\u2022\tSupervises conduction of fraud audits on identified frauds and reviews audit reports on the findings and circulate to Management where required1.5\tReviews new products and processes prior to launching\u2022\tDirects performance of reviews of new products and processes and verification of adequacy of internal controls\u2022\tProvides a report to Management on the audit findings and recommendations on improvement of controls and sign off to launch products1.6\tRisk Management\u2022\tReviews implementation of internal controls and provides progress reports to Senior Management on a weekly basis\u2022\tEnsures ad hoc cash spot checks, fixed assets reviews, stationery inventory counts, and KYC documents verification are done periodically and circulates reports on the audit findings to Management1.7\tBudgeting and Procurement Planning\u2022\tConducts departmental budgeting and procurement planning annually and shares with Finance Management for incorporation in the Microbank\u2019s annual budgets\u2022\tMonitors implementation of the budget and procurement plan to ensure performance within targets1.8\tHuman Resources Management\u2022\tDevelops annual performance targets for direct reports and ensure performance contracts are signed by staff at the beginning of the year\u2022\tPerforms quarterly performance reviews for direct reports and submits to HR<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\t\u2022\tBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Auditing (required)\u2022\tProfessional Qualification in Accounting and Auditing ie CIA \/CISA\u2022 At least 5 years of relevant experience in auditing, 3 years of which must have been at management level.<\/p>\n
Experience of auditing the financial services an added advantage<\/p>\n
