\n\t\t\t\tThe National Biotechnology Authority (NBA) is seeking a dynamic Public Relations Manager to champion its vision of transforming Zimbabwe through biotechnology. Established in 2006, the NBA remains at the forefront of research and development, utilizing both conventional and cutting-edge biotechnologies to drive economic growth and improve quality of life. The PR Manager will be instrumental in communicating the NBA’s impactful work and fostering public understanding of its vital contributions to national development and sustainability. \t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\tReporting to the Chief Executive Officer and Registrar, the successful incumbent will be tasked to:<\/p>\n
Coordinate Communication strategy by:\t\u2022\tDefining and reviewing the target audiences for the communication strategy. \u2022\tBuilding and maintaining good relationships with stakeholders.\u2022\tReviewing engaging content.\u2022\tDeveloping a plan for implementing the communication strategy. \u2022\tDeveloping an effective internal communication strategy.\u2022\tManaging communications related to organizational initiatives. <\/p>\n
Promote Media relations by:\u2022\tDeveloping and maintaining relations with journalists and media outlets.\u2022\tReviewing press releases, media kits and other information materials.\u2022\tDeveloping content for National Biotechnology Authority publications.\u2022\tCoordinating press conferences and media events.\u2022\tOperating all social media platforms for the National Biotechnology Authority.\u2022\tRecommending responses to media inquiries.<\/p>\n
Coordinate Events and brand management by:\u2022\tPlanning and executing public relations events.\u2022\tSupervising logistics, invitations and production of promotional materials.\u2022\tMonitoring and maintaining the organization\u2019s public image and brand reputation. <\/p>\n
Supervise subordinates by:\t\t\u2022\tRecommending training of staff\u2022\tAppraising staff \u2022\tMentoring \u2022\tAssigning tasks<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\t\u2022\tA first Degree in Media, Mass Communication, Public Relations or equivalent.\u2022\tFive years of working experience in the related field.\u2022\tA clean class 4 driver’s licence<\/p>\n
