SOS Children’s Villages Association of Zimbabwe is a member of SOS International – a worldwide children’s social welfare organisation, providing vulnerable children without homes with a family home and educational opportunities as well as strengthening families to reduce poverty. 1. \t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\tPosition Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Volunteer will assist the Finance department in:\u2022 Providing summary reports of the business transactions to facilitate preparation of Financial Statements;\u2022 Maintaining complete files of financial documents;\u2022 Ensuring accurate and complete records of financial transactions;\u2022 Providing support during audits by internal and external auditors;\u2022 Facilitating submission of procurement documents to procurement office and distributes proof of payment;\u2022 Processing payments and banking timeously;\u2022 Updating the inventory and assets registers;\u2022 Ensuring compliance with systems of internal control in all facilities in the location.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\tQualifications and competencies\u2022 At least a Degree\/ Diploma in Accounting ,\u2022 At least 1 years working experience in an Accounting environment. Attributes\u2022 Knowledge of Accounting Packages.\u2022 Ability to understand the principles and procedures of bookkeeping and record-keeping\u2022 Accuracy in accounting\u2022 Knowledge of business-level English, both verbal and written\u2022 Ability to foster and maintain business and client relationships\u2022 Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office\u2022 Strong organizational skills\u2022 Ability to explain and interpret fiscal related policies and general accounting<\/p>\n
