\n\t\t\t\tEstablished in 1987, Population Services Zimbabwe (PSZ) is an affiliate of MSI Reproductive Choices, and is one ofthe largest specialised Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) organisations in Zimbabwe. PSZ complements theMinistry of Health and Child Care in the provision of quality, and affordable general health and SRH services in allprovinces of Zimbabwe. In line with its expansion strategy, PSZ seeks to expand its talent pool to include the following:1. Assistant Radiographer (X1) Location: HarareThe RoleReporting to the Clinic Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures. The role willalso involve corresponding with other health professionals to ensure timely and appropriate management of clients inline with MoHCC and PSZ guidelines.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\tKey ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent will be responsible for the following, among other duties:\u2022 Performing ultrasound procedures.\u2022 Making use of ethical & critical thinking skills to perform diagnostic imaging safely.\u2022 Using positioning tools & safety equipment to ensure client safety and comfort throughout the imaging.\u2022 Reviewing client\u2019s medical record prior to their appointment and have a clear understanding of the imagesrequired.\u2022 Interpreting images, document records and prepare medical reports and present preliminary findings tohealthcare practitioners\u2022 Adhering to best medical practices and observes laws and medical professional ethics.\u2022 Developing strategies to improve the uptake of ultrasound scan services within clinics.\u2022 Registering \/ renewing of registration of PSZ and Ultrasound facilities.\u2022 Coordinating stakeholders\u2019 engagement and attending of such meetings.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\tAbout You\u2022 Degree in Radiography\u2022 Post Graduate diploma in Sonography\/Ultra Sound\/Masters of Medical Sonography is an added advantage\u2022 Must be a registered practicing sonographer.\u2022 Registered with the Allied Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe.\u2022 Must have an Open Practicing Certificate (OPC).\u2022 Proven computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet).\u2022 1-year experience in offering medical ultrasound services.\u2022 A strong client focus with good communication skills.\u2022 Knowledge of transducers and other ultrasound scan equipment.\u2022 Clean Drivers 4 license (At least 2 years in operation)<\/p>\n
