\n\t\t\t\tPosition DescriptionJob Title: \t\tLecturer \u2013 Mining (Part-time- 4 months contract)Reporting to: \tHOD Mining.Closing Date:\t\t29 August 2025Location: \t\tBulawayo<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\tThe position exists to execute the School\u2019s mandate as stipulated in the ZSM Charter. Duties and responsibilities shall entail\uf0a7\tLecture planning and execution up to HND level.\uf0a7\tAssessing student\u2019s coursework and projects up to HND level.\uf0a7\tPreparation and grading of examinations.\uf0a7\tContribute to the design of departmental syllabi and courses.\uf0a7\tBe acquainted with applications of pedagogy in the field.\uf0a7\tIdentify projects and alternative sources of research funding.\uf0a7\tDevelop a focused school wide interdisciplinary research culture and agenda.\uf0a7\tCarrying out mining and ventilation learning activities. \uf0a7\tImplement income generating projects.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\t\uf0a7\tA Bachelor\u2019s degree or higher in Mining Engineering. \uf0a7\tA postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.\uf0a7\tBlasting licence.\uf0a7\tStrong knowledge of the national political and socio-economic landscape of Zimbabwe.\uf0a7\tSuperior communication skills in English.\uf0a7\tA minimum of three years of relevant work experience in the mining industry.\uf0a7\tAdvanced Research Skills.<\/p>\n
