Job Description
\n\t\t\t\tThe main purpose of this internship is to assist the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Corporation (SMEDCO) in handling loan applications and managing client accounts. The intern will act as a representative of SMEDCO, helping to ensure that lending facilities are successfully implemented for all clients.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\tThe successful candidate will be responsible for several key tasks, including:<\/p>\n
\u2022\tEvaluating business projects, conducting credit checks, and assessing an applicant’s financial situation to determine their eligibility for a loan.\u2022\tVisiting clients with active projects to evaluate their progress and offer solutions to any challenges they face.\u2022\tPerforming market analysis to identify and reduce risks for both the client and the organization.\u2022\t Creating reports for funding approval and for small businesses to show them how they are benefiting from SMEDCO’s financial assistance.\u2022\tHandling bookkeeping and accounting activities<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\t\u2022\tThe ideal candidate should be currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Economics, Business Studies, Accounting, or Entrepreneurship.\u2022\tFluency in English, Ndebele, and Shona is also required.<\/p>\n
