\n\t\t\t\tUnder the directions of the Laboratory Manager, the Analyzing Technician is responsible for performing analysis of various samples in the lab as well as performing routine analysis procedures as spelt out by management. To perform any other duties assigned by the superior.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\t\uf076\tReceiving coal samples and performs analysis on all samples presented to the lab, before mining, after (blasting) mining, on the crusher plant, on the wash plant, on stockpiles\uf076\tProcess and analyzing routine coal samples with standard industry testing methods established by Lab management and procedures.\uf076\tObserving results and quality control data to ensure compliant conditions.\uf076\tInforming the supervisor of any deviation from acceptable quality control and implementing corrective action\uf076\tThe candidate is also responsible for calibration of laboratory machinery\uf076\tCarries out all duties safely, and in compliance with all legislation, codes, company policies and procedures.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\t\uf076\tDegree\/Diploma in biology, chemistry or relevant field\uf076\tSound analytical skills\uf076\tAt least 2 years\u2019 experience in a coal mining and mineral processing environment \uf076\tGood communication skills\uf076\tAttention to detail<\/p>\n
