Job Description
\n\t\t\t\tThe successful candidate will be tasked with integrating mechanical fitting skills and precision machining techniques. This role focuses on the assembly, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and machine tools. Utilizing equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders, the Fitter and Machinist will produce components to exact specifications, ensuring exceptional accuracy and quality in all outputs.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\t\uf076\tPerform precise calculations of dimensions and tolerances using mathematical knowledge and precision instruments such as micrometers and Vernier calipers. \uf076\tOperate machine tools include lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders to manufacture parts according to specifications. \uf076\tInspect and test finished components using precision tools to ensure they meet required standards and are free from defects. \uf076\tSet up, adjust, and operate a variety of basic and advanced machine tools for high-accuracy machine tasks. \uf076\tSecure fixtures, cutting tools, accessories, and materials properly on machines to ensure safe and efficient operations. \uf076\tMonitor machine feed rates and speeds during production to maintain optimal performance. \uf076\tSelect appropriate tools, machines, and materials for each machining task. \uf076\tAssemble and fit parts for the construction or repair of machine tools. \uf076\tSupport artisans in evaluating experimental procedures and suggest improvements for better efficiency and adaptability. \uf076\tCreate working sketches to illustrate product design and appearance. \uf076\tAssist welders in setting up and operating equipment for metalworking, brazing, heat-treating, welding, and cutting.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\t\uf076\t5 \u2018O\u2019 level subjects including English Language \uf076\tClass One Journeyman Trade Test Certificate \uf076\tDiploma in Fitting and Machining \uf076\tMinimum of 2 years\u2019 relevant work experience<\/p>\n
