CeSHHAR has an extensive national, regional, and international academic and community partnership network. CeSHHAR has a diverse range of funders which include the Wellcome Trust, Gates Foundation, United States NIH, UK Medical Research Council, European Commission, Templeton World Charity Foundation, and Global Fund for AIDS TB and Malaria. We partner very closely with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (UK), Zimbabwe&#8217;s Ministry of Health and Child Care and international and regional centres of research excellence to evaluate national programmes and determine the impact, uptake, and cost effectiveness of novel reproductive health interventions.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities<br \/>\n\t\t\t\tThe role will be responsible for supporting the sex work programme through implementing community-based HIV biomedical and social interventions among sex workers under the National Sex Work Programme. Leading implementation of sex worker demand creation and information education and counselling. The Outreach Worker will be responsible for the following duties:  <\/p>\n<p> Microplanner Recruitment, Support and Supervision. \u2022\tIdentify and recruit Senior Microplanners, Microplanners and other community cadres \u2022\tSupervision of Community Mobilization Meetings in the community and Health education at site. \u2022\tHold monthly meetings with Microplanners to feedback on programme issues \u2022\tAssist with hotspot Mapping \u2022\tAttend all trainings\/meetings to train community workers in relevant sex work programme aspects \u2022\tMonitor and supervise microplanning data collection, IPC data collection \u2022\tHelp establish, monitor, and supervise self -help groups \u2022\tHelp mentor outreach worker interns. <\/p>\n<p>Community Outreach Activities \u2022\tReaching out regularly with STI\/HIV preventive packages for sex orkers at identified sites with the assistance of Microplanners \u2022\tConducting regular visits and meetings with sex workers to enhance access to STI\/HIV services. \u2022\tValidation of hotspots maps \u2022\tProviding information and educating sex workers on the risk of STI\/HIV transmission and prevention, testing services and its benefits, and treatment services \u2022\tRoutinely encouraging, facilitating, and following up for regular STI\/HIV testing among Sex workers. \u2022\tRegularly distributing condoms and demonstrating condom \u2022\tConduction Adherence Sisters Training Programme \u2022\tCarrying out weekend and night outreach activities. <\/p>\n<p>Stakeholder engagement \u2022\tProgrammatic mapping (stakeholder mapping) \u2022\tNetwork with stakeholders \u2022\tAttending stakeholders\u2019 meetings \u2022\tRepresenting CeSHHAR at Site\/District level meetings \u2022\tConducting community entry in all new sites\/hotspots \u2022\tKeeping an updated directory of partners for referrals and layering of services Programme Reporting and Documentation \u2022\tReport writing (Monthly, Quarterly and Annually) programme reports \u2022\tMicroplanning and SHG supervision reports \u2022\tFamiliarization and adhering to Programme SOPs including MoUs <\/p>\n<p>Data Entry \u2022\tAssisting Microplanners in entering microplanning data into the database (Tracking data, Risk Assessment, Mapping, Hotspot Diary and IPC) \u2022\tEntering weekly condom data \u2022\tDaily capturing of the link log \u2022\tEntering ASTP data \u2022\tCapturing Community mobilization meetings data. \u2022\tHelp clinicians with capturing Self-test data <\/p>\n<p>Other Duties \u2022\tSupport and mentor Junior Outreach Workers and Senior Microplanners \u2022\tSupport and mentor outreach interns \u2022\tPerforming other tasks related to the programme as assigned by the supervisor whenever required.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience<br \/>\n\t\t\t\tA degree in Social Sciences or any related field. Counselling diploma and experience in HIV\/AIDS counselling will be an added advantage. Demonstrable experience and interest in community outreach work, ability to do community mobilization, create rapport with personnel from collaborating or associate institutions and work independently but within a team framework. Current and valid certificate in Good Clinical Practice and Ethics is an advantage. Experience working with vulnerable populations (Key populations) will be an added advantage. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communications. Good knowledge on use of Microsoft word, excel and power point. Good interpersonal communication skills and having high respect for confidentiality. Work experience in Non-Governmental Organizations or Civil Society Organization in HIV\/AIDS related programmes will be an advantage.
