Job Description
\n\t\t\t\tApplications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel to be engaged for a Part Time Contract subject to further extension as per the availability of similar projects, to fill the above-mentioned positions within the Construction Services Department. The incumbents will report to the Project Supervisor and will be based in Bulawayo.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\t\u25aaAnalyzing blueprints and construction drawings to understand the layout and design of the brickwork. \u25aaAccurately measuring and marking surfaces where bricks will be laid using tools like chalk lines. \u25aaPreparing the mortar mixture to the correct consistency for bonding bricks together. \u25aaSpreading mortar on the prepared surface and carefully placing bricks in position, ensuring proper alignment and level. \u25aaUsing tools like a brick hammer and chisel to cut bricks to fit specific areas and angles. \u25aaFinishing brickwork by tooling joints and applying pointing mortar to seal gaps. \u25aaWorking safely on scaffolding to reach higher areas of a building. \u25aaLoading, unloading, and transporting bricks and other building materials<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\t\u25aa5 O Levels.\u25aaClass one skilled Worker certificate in Bricklaying and concreting will be an added advantage.\u25aaMinimum 2 years\u2019 experience in Construction projects.<\/p>\n
