\n\t\t\t\tWe seek to engage the services of a General Manager for our Fasteners Division. The incumbent is expected to steer the company\u2019s business development and corporate strategy towards achieving its set objectives.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\t\uf0a7\tEstablishing and updating corporate goals and objectives, business philosophy, company business plans and long-range business development in consultation with the Group MD. \uf0a7\tEnsuring the growth and protection of the company\u2019s market share and ensure that profitability is maintained and increased in line with business plans.\uf0a7\tOverseeing all the operations of the company, including setting targets for heads of departments and ensure that these are achieved.\uf0a7\tEnsuring that a high level of stakeholder service and engagement is developed and maintained with clients, suppliers, the public and other government stakeholders.\uf0a7\tKeeping abreast of market trends to ensure competitive products and service are offered by the company.\uf0a7\tHigh level attention to detail, and comprehensive reporting and management abilities to implement, monitor and manage operations.\uf0a7\tEnsuring that budgets are developed to support business plans and ensuring careful monitoring of the budgets.\uf0a7\tEnsuring control and proper asset utilization, including timeous servicing and maintenance. \uf0a7\tEnsuring adherence to systems and controls by all subordinate staff and departments<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\t\uf0a7\tA relevant Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or any related field. \uf0a7\tA relevant Master\u2019s Degree is an added advantage. \uf0a7\tAt least 10 years\u2019 experience 5 of which must be in a senior managerial position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.\uf0a7\tMarketing experience is an added advantage. \uf0a7\tBe a strong leader with good interpersonal skills.\uf0a7\tA self-motivated, proven performer with strong management track record.<\/p>\n
