\n\t\t\t\tMarist Brothers High School Dete, located in the Hwange District of Matabeleland North Province, is a public Catholic mission school that offers secondary education. The school is owned by the Catholic Diocese of Hwange and operates as a co-educational boarding institution committed to forming well-rounded students. Rooted in the Marist tradition of holistic education, the school is dedicated to developing learners physically, mentally, spiritually and morally.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\tAs the Deputy Head, you will be an integral part of the school’s leadership team. Your key responsibilities will include: \u2022\tTo stand in for the School Head in his\/her absence\u2022\tTo assist the Head in managing all aspects of the school operations\u2022\tTo maintain the Catholic ethos\u2022\tTo enhance the school’s academic performance by devising and implementing effective teaching methodologies and educational programs\u2022\tTo maintain a good tone of discipline in the school (for both teachers and students)\u2022\tTo support the implementation of the school curriculum and assessment strategies\u2022\tTo provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for staff\u2022\tTo assist in maintaining a safe and inclusive school environment\u2022\tTo ensure that the school operations are in compliance with statutory directives and standards of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.\u2022\tTo build and nurture strong relationships with the Catholic church officials, parents, the community, and stakeholders\u2022\tTo create a safe, positive and empowering learning environment for students\u2022\tTo supervise the non-teaching staff teaching and to report on their performance as may be required.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\t\u2022\tApplicants should be on government payroll (SSB)\u2022\tApplicants should be practising Catholics with a strong commitment to Catholic education\u2022\tA degree holder with a teaching subject (up to A\u2019level)\u2022\tRelevant teaching experience and leadership capabilities\u2022\tExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills\u2022\tKnowledge of current educational policies and practices\u2022\tA track record of delivering positive educational outcomes\u2022\tPossession of a Class 4 Driver\u2019s licence is an added advantage<\/p>\n
