\n\t\t\t\tThe Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) is a statutory body mandated to ensure the provision of a level playing field for safe, reliable and sustainable energy supply through effective regulation. ZERA seeks the services of a highly competent, professional and results oriented individual who can take the organisation to a higher level in the following role:POSITION: SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATORReporting directly to the ICT MANAGER<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\tKey Job Functions of this position will be to ensure the continuous, secure, and reliable operation of ZERA’s ICT systems by managing server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, and data center operations. The job will involve:\u2022 Infrastructure Management: Administer and optimize server environments (physical and virtual), including Active Directory, Group Policy, and print services.\u2022 System Health: Proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex hardware\/software issues, and oversee the data centre.\u2022 Security & Data Protection: Implement robust backup operations, disaster recovery protocols, andmanage user permissions and access rights.\u2022 Lifecycle & Upgrades: Manage hardware\/software lifecycles, including installations, patching, and configuration updates.\u2022 Collaboration: Work with the Network Administrator on infrastructure planning and documentation.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\tKey Job RequirementsThe ideal candidate will be a proactive technical professional with a strong foundation in enterprise infrastructure and a proven trackable record of maintaining high-availability systems.<\/p>\n
Academic & Professional Qualifications\u2022 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Communication Technology (ICT), Computer Science, or a closely related field.\u2022 Advanced Study: A relevant Post-Graduate qualification or specializedprofessional certifications (e.g.,MCSE, VCP, or CCNP) will be considered a distinct advantage.\u2022 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive ICT experience, specifically within systems administration or infrastructure roles.Technical Expertise\u2022 Infrastructure & Virtualization: Proven proficiency in managing enterprise-grade Server Administration and Virtualization platforms (such as VMware Sphere or Microsoft Hyper-V).\u2022 SAP System: Working experience using SAP system\u2022 Problem Solving: Exceptional troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network, server, and application-level issues under pressure.<\/p>\n
