The successful candidate will have a strong background in research implementation and health research, with expertise in study coordination, data management, advanced qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and research ethics. The candidate will be based at the PSI Branch Office, Harare.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\u2022\tDevelop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and workflows to monitor study progress and ensure timely completion of milestones.\u2022\tOversee the implementation of the clinical study at multiple study sites, ensuring consistency and quality across all locations.\u2022\tCoordinate with study site staff to ensure compliance with study protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements.\u2022\tConduct training of site level research assistants in SOPs, data collection and quality assurance \u2022\tServe as the primary point of contact for study sites, providing guidance and support on study-related matters.\u2022\tFacilitate site initiation visits, training sessions, and regular meetings to ensure site staff and site managers are well-informed and prepared to conduct study activities.\u2022\tMonitor site performance through regular communication and site visits, addressing any issues or challenges that arise.\u2022\tOversee data collection processes at study sites to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely entry into the study database.\u2022\tCollaborate with data management teams to review and resolve data discrepancies and queries.\u2022\tEnsure data confidentiality and security in accordance with regulatory and ethical standards.\u2022\tPerform advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform report writing and other approved knowledge products\u2022\tEnsure all study activities are conducted in compliance with ethical guidelines, local regulations, and international standards (e.g., ICH-GCP).\u2022\tPrepare and submit regulatory documents, including ethics committee submissions, amendments, and progress reports.\u2022\tMaintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and provide guidance to study sites on regulatory issues.\u2022\tSupport study sites in developing and implementing effective participant recruitment and retention strategies.\u2022\tMonitor recruitment progress and work with sites to identify and address barriers to recruitment.\u2022\tConduct regular quality checks and audits of study documentation and processes to ensure adherence to study protocols and SOPs.\u2022\tIdentify and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed to maintain high standards of study quality.\u2022\tPrepare and present regular progress reports to study sponsors, investigators, and other stakeholders.\u2022\tMaintain effective communication with all study team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.\u2022\tActively participate in writing of the study report and other knowledge products\u2022\tAssist in the development and management of the study budget, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately across study sites.\u2022\tMonitor expenditures and manage site-specific budgets to ensure financial accountability.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\u2022\tBachelor\u2019s degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, public health, clinical, or related discipline)\u2022\tA master\u2019s degree in public health, epidemiology, statistics, demography \u2022\tMinimum of 3 years of experience in clinical research coordination, preferably in a multi-site study setting.\u2022\tStrong knowledge of clinical research processes, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines (e.g., ICH-GCP).\u2022\tExcellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.\u2022\tStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.\u2022\tProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic data capture (EDC) and analysis (SPSS, Stata, Epi Info, etc) systems.\u2022\tAbility to travel to study sites as required, with a clean class 4 driving licence valid for at least 2 years.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tHow to Apply<br \/>\n\t\t\t\tPSI is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages applications from qualified individuals regardless of actual or perceived race, religion, colour, sex, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, personal appearance, matriculation, political affiliation, family status or responsibilities, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, childbirth, related medical conditions or breastfeeding, genetic information, amnesty, veteran, special disabled veteran or uniform service member status or employment status.
