Job Summary The ideal candidate will lead the development, enhancement, and management of data visualization solutions supporting our global HIV prevention, care, and treatment programs. This role ensures leaders across bureaus, regions, and country programs have access to timely, accurate, and actionable insights through robust, scalable data systems. The position will be based anywhere in African countries with AHF presence.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\t\u2022 Design, develop, and maintain advanced dashboards and data visualization tools using modern frontend frameworks, including Vue.js. \u2022 Build secure, high-performance backend services and APIs using C#, .NET Core\/ASP.NET, supporting both real-time and scheduled data pipelines. \u2022 Architect and implement microservices-based solutions to ensure scalability, modularity, and efficient deployment of data systems. \u2022 Lead SQL database development, including schema design, stored procedures, indexing, and performance optimization. \u2022 Integrate data from diverse global systems (HMIS, MER platforms, program reporting tools) into unified visualization models. \u2022 Apply SOLID principles, clean architecture, and industry best practices to ensure maintainable and high-quality codebases. \u2022 Manage version control workflows using Git, including branching strategies, pull requests, and CI\/CD pipelines.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\t\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Design, or a related field. \u2022 Relevant professional certifications in recognized data visualization tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar). \u2022 Strong proficiency in Vue.js and modern frontend development (TypeScript, SPA architecture, component libraries). \u2022 Advanced experience in C#, .NET Core\/ASP.NET, REST API development, and backend engineering. \u2022 Solid experience with microservices architecture, containerization, and service orchestration. \u2022 Deep expertise in SQL database design, optimization, and data transformation workflows. \u2022 Familiarity with data visualization libraries such as Apex Charts, Highcharts, Chart.js, or D3.js. \u2022 Strong understanding of ETL\/ELT processes, data integration, and automated data refresh cycles. \u2022 Proficient in applying SOLID principles, clean architecture, and reusable code patterns. \u2022 Competence in Git version control, CI\/CD pipelines, and collaborative development workflows. \u2022 Experience with Docker and cloud platforms (Azure\/AWS) is an added advantage. Preferred Attributes \u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. \u2022 Ability to work with distributed teams across multiple countries and time zones. \u2022 Clear communication and documentation abilities. \u2022 Commitment to AHF\u2019s mission of providing cutting-edge HIV care and treatment globally. \u2022 Demonstrated expertise in Vue.js and advanced frontend development, including TypeScript, singlepage application (SPA) architecture, and use of component libraries.<\/p>\n
