\n\t\t\t\tAddressing Gender Disparity And FosteringEquity In University EducationThe University invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and dynamic individuals for the position of Executive Director, Student Experience & Success in the Student Affairs Department.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\tKey ResponsibilitiesManage working capital and deploy financial resources effectively.\u2022 Produce accurate, timely financial statements, management reports, ExCom\/Board reports, and audited accounts.\u2022 Lead product costing to support correct pricing and profitability.\u2022 Coordinate with internal and external auditors and manage audit queries\/responses.\u2022 Plan and coordinate annual audits, including audit files and schedules.\u2022 Forecast cash flows accurately and ensure timely reporting on daily performance.\u2022 Strengthen financial controls over receivables and payables.\u2022 Ensure financial reporting quality, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.\u2022 Oversee tax computations and ensure timely submission\/payment (VAT, Income Tax,PAYE, QPDs).\u2022 Develop, review, and implement finance policies, SOPs, and procedures (with Executive approval).\u2022 Recommend budgeting assumptions\/parameters and support budgeting processes.\u2022 Translate departmental strategies into financial metrics and monitor performance.\u2022 Conduct cost reviews, variance analysis, investigations, and drive cost control\/resource allocation.\u2022 Measure profitability and report on financial performance.\u2022 Review capital expenditure proposals for viability and value.\u2022 Lead, train, mentor, and performance-manage the finance team (recruitment, supervision, appraisals).\u2022 Deliver financial input and reporting for special projects as assigned by Executives.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\tQualifications, Experience and Attributes\u2022 An earned Master’s degree in Education, Higher Education Management, Student Affairs, Psychology, Counselling, Social Sciences, Management & Entrepreneurship, or a related discipline;\u2022 A PhD in the above disciplines will be an added advantage;\u2022 A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in higher education, with at least three(3) years at senior leadership level in student affairs, student success, or institutional strategy.Attributes and Competencies\u2022 Strategic and student-centred leadership approach;\u2022 Strong change management and organisational transformation capability;\u2022 Data-driven decision-making skills;\u2022 Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams;\u2022 Expertise in student engagement, mentoring frameworks, and wellbeing initiatives;\u2022 Strong commitment to inclusive, holistic student development and success.Terms of Appointment\u2022 The position is offered on a four (4) year fixed-term performance-based contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance<\/p>\n
