\n\t\t\t\tJob SummaryCimas Health Group, driven by its purpose to inspire healthier communities, seeks a highly motivated Accountant. This role is pivotal in providing financial information to management for decision making in line with the Cimas Health Group procedures and International Financial Reporting Standards.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\tThe successful candidate will be responsible for:\u2022 Devolving the divisional operational and financial plans into departmental monthly, weekly and daily plans.\u2022 Receiving budget input from user departments and check for reasonability of the budget assumptions and alignment.\u2022 Preparing monthly divisional management accounts, forecasts and annual budgets.\u2022 Analyzing and monitoring cost drivers and make recommendations to the relevantDepartmental Head.\u2022 Reviewing payment requisitions against budget and recommends for approval by Financial Controller.\u2022 Developing monthly cashflow plans by analyzing the business unit’s financial commitments.\u2022 Managing working capital, cash flow, and cost control to ensure efficient use of financial resources.\u2022 Implementing internal controls to avoid leakages and ensure accurate financial information.\u2022 Reviewing debtors, accounts payable reconciliations and prepare correctional journals.\u2022 Ensuring compliance with tax, regulatory and statutory requirements.\u2022 Leading, developing and managing a team of Accounts Clerks through on the job training, performance management and mentorship.\u2022 Overseeing audits and ensuring timely resolution of audit requests from both internal and external auditors.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\tKey Competencies\u2022 Clear verbal and written communication skills, with a capacity to produce accurate reports.\u2022 Ability to analyse and solve work-related problems to achieve the correct outcomes.\u2022 Ability to meet required reporting deadlines.\u2022 Ability to manage, train and develop staff.<\/p>\n
Qualifications\u2022 Degree in Accounting or related qualification.\u2022 Experience in data analytics will be an added advantage.\u2022 At least 2 years’ experience as Accountant in Retail industry.<\/p>\n
