Job Description
\n\t\t\t\tWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Land Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a wide range of surveying tasks essential for land development, registration, and management projects across Zimbabwe. The candidate must be registered with the Survey Institute of Zimbabwe and possess the necessary skills to support our projects in boundary demarcation, cadastral mapping, GIS development, and more.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\t\u2022\tConduct boundary surveys to establish, re-establish, and demarcate legal property boundaries.\u2022\tPrepare cadastral maps and survey diagrams supporting land registration and administration.\u2022\tCarry out subdivision and consolidation surveys for land development projects.\u2022\tProduce topographical maps for planning and engineering purposes.\u2022\tContribute to Land Information Systems (LIS), GIS platforms, and digital cadastral management.\u2022\tPerform engineering surveys, including control points and benchmarks for construction.\u2022\tSurvey routes and alignments for roads, railways, pipelines, and powerlines.\u2022\tConduct deformation and monitoring surveys for structural movement and environmental change.\u2022\tVerify construction works through as-built surveys.\u2022\tDevelop and maintain GIS platforms for waste collection illegal dumpsite mapping, analysis, and decision-making.\u2022\tUtilize remote sensing and earth observation data for land use and environmental monitoring.\u2022\tManage spatial data integration, management, and develop frameworks for spatial data sharing.\u2022\tApply spatial analytics and modeling for risk assessment, scenario planning, and predictive analysis.\u2022\tSupport digital transformation initiatives related to e-governance, smart cities, and spatial technology.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\t\u2022\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Geomatics, Land Surveying, or related field.\u2022\tRegistered with the Survey Institute of Zimbabwe.\u2022\tProven experience in land surveying, cadastral mapping, GIS, and related fields.\u2022\tProficiency in using surveying equipment (total stations, GPS, drones, etc.).\u2022\tStrong knowledge of land laws and regulations in Zimbabwe.\u2022\tExperience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial data management.\u2022\tAbility to interpret technical drawings, maps, and plans.\u2022\tExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\u2022\tAbility to work both independently and as part of a team.\u2022\tValid driver\u2019s license and willingness to travel to project sites.<\/p>\n
