{"id":5508,"date":"2026-05-20T14:00:38","date_gmt":"2026-05-20T14:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zimbabwe\/job\/accounting-assistants-reconciliations-finance\/"},"modified":"2026-05-20T14:00:46","modified_gmt":"2026-05-20T14:00:46","slug":"accounting-assistants-reconciliations-finance","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zimbabwe\/job\/accounting-assistants-reconciliations-finance\/","title":{"rendered":"Accounting Assistants, Reconciliations &#8211; Finance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Description<br \/>\n\t\t\t\tApplications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the following postswithin the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) \u2013 an equal opportunity employer.<\/p>\n<p>ACCOUNTING ASSISTANTS, RECONCILIATIONS \u2013 FINANCE \u2013 LEVEL 11 (4 POSTS)<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities<br \/>\n\t\t\t\tKey Responsibilities\u25aa Check daily bank balances and initiate pay overs of revenues for approval by theAccounting Officer\/Supervisor.\u25aa Perform daily bank reconciliation processes for allocated bank accounts.\u25aa Verify and validate that all successful transactions have been correctly posted on therelevant revenue systems.\u25aa Obtain reports of failed transactions, follow up with banks and clients for resolution,and facilitate their receipting where applicable.\u25aa Clear all open items on a daily basis and ensure no outstanding items exceed 30 days.\u25aa Monitor the performance of online platforms, including ASYCUDA, SAP, and TaRMS,for Single Account transactions, and promptly report discrepancies or system errorsto the Supervisor.\u25aa Validate transactions posted in TaRMS and ASYCUDA against corresponding bankstatements to ensure accuracy and completeness.\u25aa Submit monthly bank reconciliations statements for review and approval.\u25aa Liaise with bank Relationship Managers on discrepancies and issues requiring thebank\u2019s intervention.5\u25aa Attend to and resolve client payment queries in a timely and professional manner.\u25aa Produce reports as maybe be required from time to time.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience<br \/>\n\t\t\t\tJob Skills and Competencies\u25aa Good interpersonal and communication skills.\u25aa Innovative and passionate to support organisational transformation.\u25aa Self-starter with ability to work under pressure and beyond stipulated hours.\u25aa Must be comfortable working with figures\/numbers.\u25aa Team player who can actively participate in and coordinate successful teams.\u25aa Unquestionable integrity.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications and Experience\u25aa A degree in accounting or equivalent, and working towards membership of aprofessional body such as ICAZ, ACCA and CGI.\u25aa Two (2) years\u2019 experience in Accounting environment and good with reconciliations\u25aa Five (5) \u2018O\u2019 Levels including English Language, Mathematics and Science<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tHow to Apply<br \/>\n\t\t\t\tInterested candidates should submit applications, accompanied by a detailed CurriculumVitae by 29 May 2026, All applications should be emailed to:ZimraRecruitment@zimra.co.zw clearly stating the position applied for andaddressed to:The Director, Human CapitalZimbabwe Revenue Authority6th Floor ZB CentreCorner First Street \/ Kwame Nkrumah AvenueP.
