ACCOUNTING OFFICER\u2013 REVENUE \u2013 LEVEL 9 (1 POST)<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\tKey Responsibilities\u2022 Ensure all revenue collections are receipted promptly through daily monitoringand clearance of open items.\u2022 Prepare revenue reports and assist in the preparation of financial statementsand related schedules.\u2022 Attend to client queries and provide timely feedback where required.\u2022 Monitor system performance and report anomalies or system-related issues tothe accountant responsible for reconciliations.\u2022 Follow up and verify that reconciling items identified through reconciliationprocesses are appropriately cleared in the SAP system.\u2022 Supervise subordinates and implement performance Management system.\u2022 Produce periodic reports and adhoc reports as required.\u2022 Ensure compliance with revenue procedures, policies, and internal controls.\u2022 Support revenue accountant and assist in maintaining accurate and completeaccounting records.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\tJob Skills and Competencies\u2022 Good interpersonal and communication skills.\u2022 Innovative and passionate to support organisational transformation.\u2022 Self-starter with ability to work under pressure and beyond stipulated hours.\u2022 Must be comfortable working with figures\/numbers.\u2022 Team player who can actively participate in and coordinate successful teams.\u2022 Unquestionable integrity.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience\u25aa A degree in accounting or equivalent, and working towards membership of aprofessional body such as ICAZ, ACCA and CGI.\u25aa Asycuda, SAP and TaRMS knowledge is a requirement.\u25aa Three (3) years\u2019 experience in accounting and good with reconciliations\u25aa Five (5) \u2018O\u2019 Levels including English Language, Mathematics and Science\u25aa A clean class four (4) driver\u2019s licence is an advantage.<\/p>\n
