\n\t\t\t\tSenior Library Assistant (1 Post)<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities\uf0b7 Process Library materials (Accession, Catalogue using Resource Description and Access (RDA),classify and spine-mark).\uf0b7 Prepare booklist and compile batch processing records using the Library Management System fordispatch to LSU Libraries.\uf0b7 Manage circulation services by charging and discharging library resources through the LibraryManagement System.\uf0b7 Provide reference and information services to support users in locating and using library resourceseffectively\uf0b7 Shelving books and conduct regular shelf reading to maintain proper arrangement and ensureefficient retrieval of materials.\uf0b7 Safeguard library resources by monitoring patrons within the library facilities.\uf0b7 Participate in stock-taking and other collection management exercises.\uf0b7 Perform day, weekend, and night circulation duties as scheduled.\uf0b7 Undertake any other related duties and may be redeployed to any Library section or Universitycampus as and when required.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience\uf0b7 A National Diploma in Library and Information Science.\uf0b7 Five (5) Ordinary level passes including English Language and Mathematics.\uf0b7 At least two (2) years of working experience at Library Assistant level or three (3) years TechnicalAssistant level in an academic library.<\/p>\n
