\n\t\t\t\tWE ARE HIRING : ASSISTANT SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT PRACTITIONER:EASTERN REGION<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\tJob Responsibilities:\u2022 Advising relevant Branches and overseeing that laid down safety standards are being adhered to.\u2022 Explaining the National Social Security Authority’s policies and relating statutes safety standards to employees as perstatutory requirements and checking\/enforcingadherence.\u2022 Assessing and training staff on safety hazards and recommending control measures within workplaces.\u2022 Monitoring and arranging for food handlers to undergo medical examinations in consultation with supervisor.\u2022 Advising employees on safe handling and storage of flammable substances and attendingwithin limits to spillage of corrosive acids.\u2022 Demonstrating correct and proper use of protective clothing to employees.\u2022 Promoting the setting up of safety committees and teaching employees on safety awareness.\u2022 Assisting in carrying out safety audits system wide.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\tRequirements\u2022 A minimum of five (5) GCE ‘O’ level passes at ‘C’ or better including Science, Mathematics and English Language.\u2022 A Diploma in Environmental Health and be registered with the Environmental Health Professions Council.\u2022 Completed the Occupational, Safety, Health and Environmental Management Course (OSHEMAC), (NSSA).\u2022 Experience in Industrial Safety.<\/p>\n
