Job Description
\n\t\t\t\tThe successful applicant will report to the Agronomist and will among other duties be responsible for the following:<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tDuties and Responsibilities
\n\t\t\t\t\u2022\tConduct pre and post flight inspections to ensure drones, generators, batteries, and related accessories remain airworthy, clean, and operational. \u2022\tPerform drone calibration prior to operations to maintain accuracy and operational efficiency. \u2022\tMonitor battery health, charging cycles, equipment performance, and overall operational readiness before deployment. \u2022\tReview field prescriptions, operational plans, and weather conditions prior to commencing operations. \u2022\tOperate, spraying, spreading, and mapping drones safely and efficiently in line with operational and agronomic requirements. \u2022\tEnsure correct spray rates, swath width, and flight parameters during field operations. \u2022\tAdhere to all Aviation regulations, estate safety procedures, and operational guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining safe operating distances from hazards and obstacles.\u2022\tSuspend operations immediately during unsafe or adverse weather conditions. \u2022\tReport faults, damages, incidents, and maintenance requirements promptly to the relevant authority.\u2022\tMaintain accurate operational records, including flight hours, battery usage, hectares sprayed, chemical consumption, operational incidents, logbooks, master logs, risk assessment forms, and change of serviceability records.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tQualifications and Experience
\n\t\t\t\t\u2022\tShould be CAZ certified.\u2022\tValid Class 4 Medical certificate.\u2022\tAt least 5 O-level passes, including English Language.\u2022\tRecognized flight training certificate.\u2022\tBasic understanding of crop spraying, spreading, and mapping.\u2022\tAt least 1\u20132 years of practical drone flying especially in Agricultural setout.<\/p>\n
