Key Responsibilities
Conduct pre task risk assessments
Enforce mine safety standards, PPE compliance
Conduct daily inspections of equipment, ground conditions and work areas tagging out unsafe conditions
Coordinate daily mining activities
Monitor daily production targets vs plan
Maintain accurate shift log books
Working in liaison with technical team
Supervise, train and mentor subordinates on safe operating procedures
Address conduct issues of subordinates
Ensure work area is kept clean, tidy and free from hazards
Requirements
Degree In Mining Engineering
5 Years’ experience in an open cast or underground mine
Underground Full Blasting License
Highest level of safety consciousness
Able write reports in English
