Francistown Garage (PTY) Ltd, a franchised dealership of Toyota South Africa which is based in Francistown has an opportunity for a candidate with proven leadership abilities to lead the dealership as the Dealer Principal of the Company.
This position is regarded as a key senior management role reporting directly to the Group Managing Director. The successful candidate is responsible for the overall business performance and to professionally manage the dealership thus maximizing profitability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Establish and maintain adequate and skilled staff efficiency to meet given sales requirements in all departments.
• Create maximum profitability for the company, whilst delivering total customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all departments achieve profit margins agreed to in their objectives and control of expenses.
• Ensure the company attains the required Annual Financial Budgets as per Group directives.
• Continually monitor the financial situation on a daily/weekly basis to achieve financial objectives via
sales, service, customer satisfaction and retention.
• Personally examine, on a monthly basis, all financials, operating controls and composite figures for accuracy and to initiate improvement or corrective action promptly where required.
• Ensure that the franchisors’ standards and requirements are met at all times.
• Ensure all statutory and franchise based green charter requirements are adhered to.
• Ensure the continuous long-term viability of the Company.
Minimum Requirements:
• At least 10 years senior management experience in an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) franchised automotive dealership out of which 5 years as a Dealer Principal at one establishment.
• Extensive knowledge of the operational requirements of a Toyota motor dealership in all aspects of the operations.
• Sound knowledge of vehicle/trucks Sales and Marketing
• Tertiary Qualification is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of leading Dealer Management Systems (DMS) approved by Toyota South Africa.
• Forward thinking and energetic individual who has a great understanding of current market challenges.
• Positive attitude, integrity and entrepreneurial flair.
• Ability to work under pressure and have strong leadership skills.
