Job Role

To drive customer acquisition, retention, and sales growth within assigned territories by actively engaging retail and informal trade markets. The role involves extensive field movement, account activation, and daily sales performance management to ensure market coverage, product penetration, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Market Development

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers within assigned territories.
Drive customer recruitment, reactivation, and retention initiatives.
Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales and coverage targets.
Ensure full coverage of mapped outlets within the assigned route plan.

Customer Engagement

Promote company products, offers, and commercial campaigns in the market.
Grow customer basket size, product assortment, and sales volumes.
Educate customers on digital ordering platforms and product usage.
Ensure excellent customer service and timely issue resolution.

Market Intelligence

Collect competitor activity data, pricing trends, and customer feedback.
Provide insights to improve product positioning and sales strategies.

Reporting & Compliance

Maintain accurate daily sales and field activity reporting.
Ensure adherence to company policies, sales procedures, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

Diploma or Certificate in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in field sales, FMCG sales, customer acquisition, retail sales, or account management.
Experience in FMCG, telecommunications, distribution, or retail sales is an added advantage.

Skills and Competencies

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Highly self-driven, energetic, and target-oriented.
Ability to work extensively in the field with significant walking and customer visits.
Good organizational and reporting skills.
Basic proficiency in MS Excel, mobile reporting tools, and CRM systems.
Knowledge of FMCG distribution and retail market dynamics.
Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
