Debt Collections & Recoveries Officer

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi County, Kenya, for a Debt Collections & Recoveries Officer for Unsecured Salary Loans.
The role involves managing debt recovery processes, handling client communication, negotiating repayment plans, monitoring delinquent accounts, preparing timely reports and achieving stretching business targets.
The officer will work closely with teams to ensure effective debt resolutions while adhering to internal policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in Debt Collection especially for unsecured microfinance loans and knowledge of finance-related procedures.
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge of financial regulations and debt recovery best practices in Kenya.
Strong communications and Interpersonal Skills and commitment to providing excellent Customer Service.
Exceptional Analytical Skills for assessing financial situations and identifying effective collection strategies.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related fields is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office and financial software tools is beneficial.
