We are hiring a Housekeeper with cooking and cleaning duties, for a multi-generational residence in Gigiri, Nairobi. This is a live-in position that will work across two separate houses on the same plot. We are looking for individuals who are professional, well-trained, and able to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
Must like dogs, and experience with children is a plus. We hope to find someone who can be a part of our family for many years to come!
The core role involves, on a rota across the two houses: 
Cleaning = full house cleaning and maintenance, with a strong focus on detail, care, and consistency.
Cooking = meal preparation and cooking.

Key Responsibilities:

Cooking and preparing food as required.
Daily cleaning and maintenance of assigned areas.
Deep cleaning on a scheduled basis.
Laundry: washing, ironing, folding, and proper fabric care.
Dusting and care of furniture, surfaces, and delicate items.
Careful handling of valuable household items.
Cleaning and maintenance of household equipment and machines.
Maintaining order, neatness, and organization throughout the home
Feeding and looking after of 2 very friendly dogs when owners are away
You will switch between the houses so you must be able to stay on top of schedules, tasks and directions.

Requirements:

Formal training in housekeeping or hospitality
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a private home, embassy, or hotel environment.
Valid certificate of good conduct.
High attention to detail and cleanliness.
Professional attitude and ability to follow structured routines.
Honest, responsible, and respectful.
Ability to handle valuable items with care.
Ability to work in a structured household environment with clear routines.
High level of personal cleanliness and presentation.
Reference from a minimum of 1 previous employer required

Desired:

Love of cooking, would enjoy being sent on cooking courses to learn more
Love of dogs, happy to have them sleep in your room when owners are away
