Responsibilities

Within delegated authority, the Information Management Associate will be responsible for the following duties: Content Delivery and Crisis Coverage:

Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality content from partners and initiate coverage for sudden crises. Content Management and Workflow Coordination:
Coordinate content management across different duty stations to ensure smooth collaboration and consistent workflows. Quality Control and Verification: Conduct quality control and verification of content, leveraging country, regional or thematic knowledge and language skills. Strategic Contribution and Product Management:
Participate in strategy discussions and manage both emerging and established information systems. Partnerships and Outreach:
Collaborate with existing partners and staff to expand OCHA’s outreach and marketing efforts, review existing partnerships, and identify new ones. Impact of Results:
Ensures that critical information reaches stakeholders quickly during crises, enhancing the organization’s ability to respond effectively and coordinate humanitarian efforts.
Streamlined workflows and improved processes lead to greater efficiency and consistency in content delivery, benefiting the entire organization.
Maintains the credibility and reliability of OCHA’s content, which is crucial for the organization’s reputation and the trust of its users.
Aligns digital products with strategic goals, ensuring that technological advancements support the organization’s mission and enhance its operational capabilities.
Strengthens relationships with key partners and expands the reach of OCHA’s services, increasing the organization’s influence and effectiveness in the humanitarian sector.

Education

High school or Secondary School diploma is required.
A university degree or specialized qualifications in international affairs, social sciences, library sciences, information systems or related fields are desirable.

Work Experience

A minimum of six (6) years of experience with entities operating in the disaster management, peacebuilding, climate change, humanitarian, human rights or development sector, including three (3) years of experience in communication, information management, content management, content curation, or digital product management is required.
Experience in digital product management, including the use of customer relationship management (CRM) tools is desirable.
Experience in content and online information management guidelines is desirable.
Knowledge of humanitarian issues is desirable.
Experience in working in international or regional organizations is desirable.
