What you’ll do 

CrossBoundary is recruiting an Intern Analyst to join our Power and Infrastructure (P&I) Advisory team in Nairobi, Kenya.  
This is a six-month internship, with the possibility of being absorbed into the team upon completion, subject to performance and business needs. The role is suited to candidates with a strong interest in renewable energy, infrastructure, project finance, and investment advisory in emerging markets. 
As an Intern Analyst, you will support transaction advisory, business development, market research, financial analysis, and internal team operations across the Power and Infrastructure practice. You will work closely with other team members to help deliver advisory mandates and support the continues growth of the team.  
Work authorization in Kenya is mandatory. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Kenya. 

Primary Responsibilities  

Conduct market research to support client recommendations and internal decision-making 
Support the preparation of presentations, reports, investment materials, briefing notes, meeting notes, and other client-facing deliverables 
Support financial analysis, including data collection, financial model preparation, sensitivity analysis, benchmarking, and review of outputs 
Support capital mapping by identifying relevant investors, lenders, donors, development finance institutions, and other funding sources 
Support business development activities, including research on new opportunities, preparation of credentials, case studies, and proposal materials 
Support project management across active workstreams, including tracking deliverables, deadlines, action items, meetings, and follow-ups 
Help maintain organized project files, trackers, databases, and knowledge management materials 
Support internal team administration, including meeting preparation, internal updates, staffing coordination, reporting, and other team processes 

Who You Are

0.5 – 2 years of experience in project finance, renewable energy, or infrastructure, gained at a financial advisor, developer, investment firm, DFI, lender, or investment bank 
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance, economics, law, engineering, business, accounting, or a related discipline  
Experience working in emerging markets; Africa, South/Southeast Asia, and/or Latin America would be preferred  
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure issues logically and focus on key questions  
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and well-structured materials 
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work under guidance 
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment 
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel  
Fluent in English. French and/or Spanish language skills beneficiary but not required 
Must have existing work authorization in Kenya
