Job Summary

Pearl Hospital is a Level 4 multi-specialty hospital in Laikipia County. Guided by our values of Quality, Efficiency, Professionalism, and Compassion, we are seeking a Laboratory Technologist to perform and oversee laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases, ensuring accuracy, reliability and timely delivery of results in accordance with established standards.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, microbiology, biochemistry and serology.
Analyze and interpret test results and report findings accurately.
Ensure proper collection, handling, processing and storage of specimens.
Implement and adhere to quality control and quality assurance procedures.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols.
Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
Ensure proper disposal of laboratory waste and hazardous materials.
Adhere to hospital policies and ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
Operate, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
Registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB)
Valid practicing license.
At least 1-2 years of relevant experience(internship included).
Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) is an added advantage.
