Job Description
To provide laboratory diagnostic services to staff members working in the company. This will be achieved through sampling, conducting analytical medical laboratory processes, production of results, validation and verification of results, and submission of the results to the clinician or patients
Accountabilities
Conduct routine medical examination to the staff members as guided by the clinical Officer
Ensure provision of quality and reliable medical laboratory services
Ensure adequate maintenance of laboratory equipment by facilitating scheduled servicing and planned preventive maintenance(PPM)
Act as the liason officer in matters pertaining to the running of the medical laboratory
Ensure that all medical laboratory equipment are adequately calibrated
Ensure that the laboratory maintains the operational standards as guided by the KMLTTB
Ensure availability of laboratory reagents and consumables
Ensure safety of patients and clients when in the laboratory
Qualifications
Degree or diploma in medical laboratory sciences from a recognized university
Registered and licensed by the KMLTTB
Completed at least a six (6) internship from a level 6 hospital
Progressive work experience of between 2-3 years in a busy laboratory
Computer Literacy
Have training in quality management systems (QMS), specifically ISO 15189:2022 and awarded with a certificate
