Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery & Lesson Planning
Plan and deliver structured, engaging, and CBC-aligned lessons tailored to diverse learning needs. Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning materials that support competency-based education and active learning.
Student Assessment & Progress Tracking
Conduct continuous formative and summative assessments, maintain accurate academic records, and provide constructive feedback to learners and parents. Use assessment data to adjust instruction and support individual student growth.
Classroom Management & Student Development
Create and maintain a positive, disciplined, and child-friendly learning environment. Foster learners’ social, emotional, and cognitive development through interactive and learner-centered teaching approaches.
Parent & Staff Collaboration
Work closely with fellow teachers and school leadership to share best practices and improve learning outcomes. Engage parents through meetings and communication on learners’ progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.
Curriculum Implementation & Resource Management
Effectively implement CBC guidelines in classroom practice. Develop, organize, and manage teaching and learning resources, including the use of digital tools where appropriate.
Extracurricular Engagement
Support learners’ holistic growth by participating in and facilitating extracurricular and co-curricular activities, including project-based learning and mentorship.
Professional Development & Compliance
Participate in professional development programs, CBC training, and school meetings. Ensure full compliance with Teachers Service Commission (TSC) regulations, Ministry of Education policies, and school procedures.
Key Requirements
Academic Qualifications
Diploma in Education.
Primary Teachers Education (P1) Certificate (mandatory).
Valid Teachers Service Commission (TSC) license (mandatory).
CBC training certification.
Relevant Experience
Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in an ECDE environment.
Proven experience in mentoring teachers and coordinating early childhood programs.
Familiarity with CBC curriculum implementation and Ministry of Education requirements.
