We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Timber Construction Foreman for an alltimber sustainable project requiring precise geometry, disciplined installation, robust waterproofing, and a high standard of finish, with structured construction records for certification.
Scope
•Timber structural frame is installed by a specialist subcontractor
Exterior cladding, timber waterproofing, termite protection, and all exterior and interior finishing works are carried out by the in-house team
Role
Work from architectural and structural drawings
Check subcontracted timber structure installation against geometry, dimensions, and connection details in accordance with drawings
Correct deviations before work proceeds
Lead and supervise in-house cladding, waterproofing, and finishing works
Maintain high standards for fixings, timber protection, installation, and finishing quality
Complete daily construction records and logs
Requirements
Experience delivering timber structures and high-quality finishes on site
Experience must include timber structures (e.g. timber framing, timber roof structures, timber decking or similar); furniture/joinery-only experience is not suitable
Ability to read and apply architectural and structural drawings for complex geometry
Experience supervising contractors and managing site teams
Strong understanding of timber fixings, connections, and waterproofing details
Attention to accuracy, detailing, and final finish
