Responsibilities
Assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of various animal cases.
Administer prescribed medications, vaccinations, and routine veterinary treatments.
Conduct comprehensive animal health assessments and oversee patient follow-up care.
Educate clients on best practices for animal care, nutrition, and disease prevention.
Maintain precise and up-to-date treatment logs and patient medical records.
Assist in the collection of laboratory samples and the execution of basic diagnostic tests.
Participate actively in field visits, regional vaccination drives, and community outreach programs.
Ensure full compliance with established clinic policies and national veterinary regulations.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Animal Health and Production or a related veterinary field.
Mandatory registration with the Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB).
Possession of a valid and current KVB practicing license.
Proven experience in handling and treating large animals.
Solid understanding of animal healthcare protocols and safe handling techniques.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interaction.
Ability to work efficiently and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.
Basic computer literacy for digital record-keeping and reporting.
