Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Cataloguing recordings and making them available when requested
Coordinating work in the laboratory to ensure efficient use is made of equipment
Ensuring that all health and safety procedures are understood and followed correctly
Ensuring that equipment is properly cleaned and that chemicals, drugs and other materials are appropriately stored
Maintaining and repairing equipment and laboratory apparatus
Preparing equipment and chemicals before practical lessons
Record keeping for students’ practical sessions, tracking methods, results
Maintaining water quality for within the culture systems.
Assisting trainees with their practical lessons.
Any other duties that may from time to time be assigned
To liaise with academic staff to discuss timetables, equipment requirements and work plans for practical sessions
Requirements for Appointment
Diploma in Aquaculture
3 years’ experience
Knowledge of quality assurance and accreditation requirements.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and integrity
