Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor all company tax transactions within the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) systems.
Operate and maintain compliance through:
● iTax
● eTIMS Upload and process tax invoices through eTIMS and ensure proper validation and compliance.
Handle all SEZ-related tax transactions in accordance with Kenyan regulations and laws.
Prepare and submit:
● VAT Returns
● Withholding Tax Returns
● Import & Customs Documentation
● Excise / Levy documentation where applicable Review and manage SEZ tax exemptions and customs benefits. Monitor local market sales and related tax implications/conversions.
Coordinate with:
● Customs Authorities
● Clearing & Forwarding Agents
● Finance Department
● Procurement Department Handle KRA audits, investigations, and tax inquiries.
Ensure all invoices and supporting documents comply with Kenyan tax regulations and systems.
Generate monthly and annual tax compliance reports.
Support ERP integration and tax documentation accuracy.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields:
● Accounting
● Finance
● Taxation
● Business Administration Preferred Certifications
● CPA
● ACCA
Required Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in:
● Kenyan Taxation
● SEZ or EPZ Companies
● Direct handling of KRA systems
Strong hands-on experience in:
● eTIMS
● iTax
● Importation & Customs Procedures
● VAT Compliance
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience using ERP systems such as:
● Odoo
● SAP ERP Ability to electronically process and upload invoices.
Strong understanding of:
● PIN Registration
● VAT Procedures
● Customs Processes
● Tax Documentation
Personal & Administrative Skills
High attention to detail.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent follow-up and coordination abilities.
Strong communication skills in English.
Ability to deal professionally with government authorities and external stakeholders.
