Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain investigational products accountability and inventory information and ensure proper storage practices;
Participate in randomization, safeguard randomization and IP blinding/masking information;
Reconcile records and handle study product in adherence to study protocol and SOPs;
Prepare, review and enforce SOPs, policies and standards;
Participate and support in trial monitoring and quality audits;
Raise requisitions for purchase of medicines, medical equipment and surgical disposables;
Monitor drug stock levels and prevent against pilferage, deterioration and advise on commercial availability and stock status;
Inspect and monitor supplies xompliance to specifications and standards;
Train and supervise students and dispensing clerks on pharmacy and clinical trial procedures;
Compound medicines according to SOPs;
Review and sign off pharmacy reports, records, logs, registers and other records;
Dispense prescription medicines to out-patient and ward-based clients as prescribed;
Operate, calibrate and monitor performance of pharmacy equipment and resolve repair issues; and Represent pharmacy at multi-disciplinary meetings and study trial trainings
Vacancy Requirements:
Diploma in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized college. Mandatory
Minimum Two 2 years relevant experience Mandatory
Pharmaceutical Technologist Certificate and Annual Practice Certificate from the Pharmacy and Poison Board Mandatory
Demonstrated high levels of integrity and confidentiality Mandatory
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Mandatory
Ability to work with diverse, multidisciplinary teams and build strong relationships with internal and external collaborators Mandatory
Excellent analytical skills and ability to deliver quality outputs within strict timelines. Mandatory
Strong team management and decision-making skills Mandatory
