Job Description
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:
Conducting water pollution control activities;
Preparing reports on water and waste water samples submitted to the laboratory;
Undertaking microbiological examination of water;
Storing laboratory specimens and equipment;
Monitoring water quality and safety;
Maintaining records and orders of supplies for chemicals, reagents, glassware, apparatus and consumable;
Person Specifications For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have: –
Cumulative service period of six 6 years relevant work experience, three 3 years of which should have been at the grade of Laboratory Technologist II or in a comparable position;
Diploma in Applied Sciences or relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
Proficiency in computer applications; and Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
