Role Description
The Sales Representative role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mombasa.
The Sales Representative will identify and engage prospective clients, present APA Insurance Limited’s products and services, and provide tailored solutions that meet individual and business risk management needs.
Daily responsibilities include generating and following up on leads, conducting client meetings and product demonstrations, preparing quotations, and supporting clients through the policy onboarding process.
The role also involves maintaining strong relationships with existing policyholders, handling basic inquiries, coordinating with internal teams on underwriting and claims issues, and providing feedback from the market to support product and process improvements.
The Sales Representative is expected to meet agreed sales targets, maintain accurate sales records, and uphold APA’s standards of professionalism and customer service.
Qualifications
Proven sales, customer service, and relationship management skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and close deals.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain insurance products clearly to diverse audiences.
Basic understanding of insurance or financial services concepts general, health, or life insurance or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
Competence in using standard office software e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets and maintaining organized sales records and reports.
Ability to work in a target-driven environment, manage time effectively, and handle multiple client engagements simultaneously.
Certificate, diploma, or degree in Business, Marketing, Insurance, Finance, or a related field is an added advantage.
Relevant professional training or certification in insurance or sales will be beneficial.
Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and a customer-focused mindset aligned with APA Insurance Limited’s core values.
