Job Description

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the team’s day-to-day operations, tracks progress towards goals, and reports results to management
Ensuring overall scheme compliance in line with the regulatory requirements, risk management and internal audit
Ensuring that service level agreements and deed of adherence for all employers are executed and filed respectively with the regulator
Ensuring compliance with the Trust Deed & Rules, regulatory requirements as laid down by regulatory bodies including Retirement Benefits Authority RBA, Kenya Revenue Authority Income Tax, Capital Markets Authority CMA, Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority UFAA and self-regulating bodies such as Association of Retirement Benefits Schemes ARBS.
Coordinating with the client and scheme service providers Trustee, fund managers, actuary and auditors to ensure smooth and timely processing of tasks
Ensure accurate and complete member records are in place.
Validating and processing contributions from the sponsor
Ensuring that statements to members are done and dispatched promptly as laid down in the SLA.
Ensuring that computations of members’ withdrawal benefits are done correctly and timely
Tracking participating employers with outstanding contribution on month to month basis
Ensure timely quarterly submission of accurate reports to the regulator, the RBA.
Calculating Individual transfer and total surrender values of scheme winding up.
Liaising with auditors and other service providers for smooth audit.
May be required to attend Management Committee meetings on administration issues.
Constantly review and recommend systems and processes enhancements / development.
Ensuring that enquiries from intermediaries and clients are addressed fully and promptly
Assisting in preparation of management report for the monthly meetings.
Executing any other duties, which may be assigned from time to time.
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline from a reputable university.
Professional qualifications in Finance e.g. CPA K, ACCA or equivalent is considered added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
At least Six 6 years’ experience in retirement benefits/schemes administration.
