BDO IT Consulting is seeking a passionate Automation Tester to help design, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks for high-quality delivery across multiple projects. This role offers hands-on automation work and collaboration with cross-functional teams (BA, Dev, QA, Cloud, DevOps).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and/or mobile applications.Contribute to or implement a test automation framework (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Manual Testers to understand requirements and translate them into robust automated tests.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).Execute automated regression suites and analyse results, ensuring quick feedback to the team.Identify, log, and track defects; collaborate with the team to ensure timely resolution.Support performance, smoke and sanity testing where relevant.Contribute to test documentation: test plans, test cases, automation guidelines and best practices.Proactively suggest improvements to testing processes, tools, and coverage.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE2 – 4+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation.Hands-on experience with at least one major automation tool or framework, such as: Selenium / Cypress / Playwright / WebdriverIO (or similar).Good understanding of software testing concepts: test design techniques, regression testing, defect lifecycle, etc.Experience scripting in at least one language: C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.Nice-to-HaveISTQB Foundation or other testing certification.Experience with performance testing (e.g. JMeter) is a plus.Experience in business applications or enterprise systems (e.g. ERP, CRM, etc.) would be an advantage.Interest in AI-assisted testing and using AI tools to improve test design and efficiency.SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a quality-first mindset.Good communication skills, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.WHAT WE OFFERCompetitive salary packageOpportunities to gain both local and overseas experienceTeam building and Welfare activitiesBe part of our growing worldwide BDO family.
